Founded in 1994 with Golden Gate Presbyterian Church, SPRiNG Bible Academy (SBA) was created to follow Jesus’ call to “teach them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:20). Once known as Golden Gate Discipleship Training Center and Bible College, it became SPRiNG Bible Academy in 2013 to reflect its growing mission work. SBA is an independent, non-profit ministry that works with accredited schools to offer clear, Bible-based teaching for pastors and laypeople. Its main focus is training people in the San Francisco Bay Area and supporting pastors and students in mission fields SPRiNG Bible Academy, located at San Francisco Bay Area, serves teaching and funding for the students in mission sites including Rwanda, Kenya, Colombia and Mexico.

SPRiNG Bible Academy serves through three campuses reaching local and global communities. The First Campus at the Golden Gate Church Education Building offers Bible-based training for pastors and laypeople. The Second Campus, opened in June 2018 at Hoopa First Baptist Church, provides Bible studies for Native American communities. The Third Campus operates in overseas mission fields, using rented or purchased buildings for education and housing. Together, these campuses fulfill SBA’s mission to equip faithful leaders near and far.

Curriculum

1. All courses focus on systematic understanding and teaching of each book of the Bible. Thus, the 66 books of Scripture serve as the core subjects of study.
2. Additional courses include topics such as History of Israel, Old Testament Geography, and Holy Land Pilgrimage.
3. Each course equates to one credit for every 10 hours of lecture.
4. The Holy Land Pilgrimage course offers 4 credits for a two-week program.
5. The Academy offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. A diploma is awarded upon completion of 24 credits at each level.

Through partnerships with accredited seminaries, mission organizations, and local churches, SBA shares resources and expertise to strengthen Christian leadership worldwide. Embracing innovative teaching methods, including hybrid learning and digital platforms, the Academy ensures accessible, high-quality training for pastors and laypeople both locally and globally. We are constantly seeking donors who can provide scholarships and grants to support dedicated students and expand our mission. These partnerships and innovations enable SBA to extend its impact, nurture new leaders, and equip the global church for faithful and transformative ministry.
